About Dr. Lillian C. Lyons
BIO
With over 30 years of experience in the dental world Dr. Lyons is committed to providing her patients with quality of periodontal care.
- She obtained her dental degree DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) in 1995 in Mexico City.
- She became a Specialist in Endodontics-Periodontics (Endoperio) in 1997 ( Certificate by the National University Autonomous of Mexico, FES-Iztacala, Mexico).
- She owned a General Dentistry practice in Ciudad Satellite, Mexico.
- Dr. Lyons was the "traveling specialist" for various Dentists performing specialized perio and endodontic treatment for in Mexico.
- She moved to Houston in 1999 and applied at the Graduate Periodontics Program at UT-Health Science Center School of Dentistry and was one of the few selected for class 2002-2005 at the Post graduate Periodontics Residency. This is a position that is only offer to the top 3-5 applicants per year.
- She obtained her certificate of Periodontics and also a Masters of Science Degree in 2005 by the University of Texas-Health Science Center at Houston, USA.
- She is Board Certified in Dental Implant Surgery and Periodontology since 2006 and she has maintained a Diplomate status by the American Board of Periodontology ever since.
- She has served various organized Dental and Periodontics societies and became the President for the Greater Houston Society of Periodontists in 2010-2012.
- She worked as an Assistant Professor for the University of Texas, School of Dentistry - Houston for the graduate department of Periodontology, teaching dental hygiene and graduate students from basic periodontics to advanced surgical techniques.
- She is the founder of the first hispanic-latino women owned Implant Center in tThe Woodlands, Texas (Dental Specialists & Implant Center at The Woodlands) and was a proud owner from 2015-2023.
- She has been the Periodontist Implantologist Surgeon for several general dentist around the Houston area.
- For 17 years she has been the Periodontist -Implantologists in Houston in distinguished Dental Practice in Downtown Houston, TX.
- She is a national and international speaker in periodontics, oral medicine and dental implantology.
- In her free time she travels with her husband and dogs, photography and water sports.
- She loves to travel that much that she called her business "travelingperio"
